I’ve always assumed those lists of approved names some countries had where a bit xenophobic, but it turns out they were just protecting themselves from tech bros.

do you plan to put more thought into naming your children than a junior dev does into naming their variables?

i am a less-than-junior dev, and my variables are always descriptive of what they do!

and with this (lack of) expertise i say: They got it the wrong way around. (x)y is boy, (x)x is girl.
