Same, Roger’s point of view on movies usually was pretty close to mine. I feel like I have good taste and I enjoy challenging, artsy movies that critics praise. But sometimes there are movies like Moulin Rouge you just enjoy even if it isn’t critically defensible. Roger would go for things like that where Gene seemed more like a hard nosed snobby type.
