I couldn’t agree more. Especially when it comes to “cooking” shows that have the main goal of creating something that looks nice … I don’t want to know what chocolate tastes like after it got spray-painted and tossed in “edible” glitter and whatnot just to make it visually pleasing as an art piece, and then stood on display un-refrigerated for twelve hours straight.
The second cake looks a lot more appetizing to me, and it is fairly clear that it is meant to be a beaver, whereas the first cake could just as easily be a hamster or marmot, so it gets the point across as well.
