It would also be a cool way to weave in more history. Maybe we see how Stark ended up with the Shield, we could get some more Pym, Van Dyne, or Goliath stories. Maybe they introduce Captain Britain and Psylocke, or Wonder Man. Maybe Hercules can have an adventure defending some Vibranium artifacts held on Mount Olympus. Maybe some of those artifacts end up in Latveria.
