EDIT: Just to be clear, it’s heartbreaking and demoralizing, and for a kid whose family is not on board, it might be an insurmountable challenge. But at least they’re nearby, even if it’s weekly visits for a while. It’s good to know that MA and VT are still functioning democracies where the minority is protected as a matter of pride.
