New Ukrainian jet kamikaze drones. Open Source Visualization by HI Sutton

Apparently this is a type of One Way Attack UAV (OWA-UAV).

The UAV is 3 meters (10 feet) long and has a wingspan of 2.5 meters (8 feet) and appears to have removable wings for transport and storage. The UAV has one commercial German-made JetCat P400-PRO microturbojet engine in the rear fuselage.

The UAV is similar to the British Banshee drones, but does not share the same details and is different from them. In all likelihood, this is a completely Ukrainian design from a publicly unknown manufacturer.

The researcher considers these new developments to be the second generation of Ukrainian one-sided attack UAVs. The first generation of these were built on the mantra “something is better than nothing” and were often adapted from other UAV projects, but the second generation includes experience and knowledge, and is optimized for mass production and field operations. They are also more powerful and often carry larger warheads.

I think it’s because of the shape, speed, and how they are launched.
