As if the law generally binds the rich or protects the poor… The Frank Wilhoit quote about conservatism applies to rich people and their control of society just as much as it applies to conservatism:

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition … There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
