I get that a lot of people think this is one of the best mainstream metal songs out there, but I will admit to really disliking the tone of both Hetfield’s voice and the guitars. It’s just never sat well with me.

Like St. Anger’s snare drum was never the worst sounding part of Metallica’s discography to me.
