      You know what else would help families not starve is forgiving their parents student loans. That would put a lot of food on the table.

        The top 1% have so much money that if we just straight up took even a fraction of it, we could buy food for literally everyone.

    And some states, ahem…Nebraska…don’t believe in the welfare of their residents, so they rejected millions of federal dollars that would have gone to feeding hungry children.

    Insert tired quote about the absurd hypocrisy of right wingers only loving children when they’re fetuses. And even then….

    We (well, the legislature/governor, I guess) just expanded the child tax-credit in Michigan, from 6% to 30%, retroactively to 2022. People should start getting checks in February.
