„In Apollo, there was a really intuitive feature that let you disable the gestures for voting/replying/etc. If you did so, then you could use the entire screen to navigate between posts instead of needing to swipe all the way from the side.“

I took this screenshot and quote from a request from another app (thanks @Carnelian). I think this app is also missing this and I think it is one of the highest quality of life features.

(I hope posting it like this is okay)

I’d appreciate this feature, but only because the back-swipe target area in wefwef feels smaller than on a native iOS app. I’m constantly voting accidentally instead of going back, and I didn’t have this problem in apollo even with swipe voting enabled

I keep upvoting people by accident trying to go back lol.

This feature can’t come fast enough, for someone with small hands I can’t reach the top left of my screen easily.

This was actually my favorite thing about Apollo. It just made browsing so “breezy” feeling.

I would like to have this feature. Many times I have accidentally upvoted/downvoted a post/comment when I was just trying to swipe back to the previous page.

Also the feature to swipe left to go back to a previous page you may have accidentally closed. Loved that.

I just want the “auto hide on read” feature back in my life again

I had no idea this was a feature in Apollo . Not sure if I’d use it, as edge swipes to navigate and field swipes to vote/etc are second nature for me but I’m all for adding it as an option.

I would live this. I usually have “hide seen posts” but in the endless card scrolling, it does not register as “read” unless opened, which is tedious for memes and posts that im not wanting to see over and over

Yeah would love to be able to disable left swipes. That was great about Apollo so you don’t vote by accident
