None of the mobile sauna builders made something with the features I was looking for, so I decided to build my own!

Right on! Looks nice outside. How far along are you? What features are you adding?

      Thanks!

The “structure” is complete, exterior is complete (mostly), insulated, and I’m installing foil vapor barrier now. Next step is putting up cedar!

The big features I was looking for was a hydraulic drop trailer (not hand crank), full trailer width (wheel wells inside the sauna footprint, vs wheels on the outside with a narrower trailer), 8’ minimum ceiling height with a raised floor, built in cold plunge on the front, and a bunch of other little tweaks here and there. Honestly it would be done by now, but I keep thinking of little tweaks I want to make, and every new thing adds quite a bit of time to the build process as I figure things out.

That sounds awesome man! Luxurious and travels! That extra space would be really welcome in a mobile unit like this. And it doesn’t seem a difficult task to build in the wheel wells.

Thanks! I’ll post more photos as things progress. I just finished the foil vapor barrier last night, and I have a $2,200 pile of cedar tongue and groove that I’m itching to start putting up!
