“Well, we can say it,” Pureval said. “I am supportive of a study that has to be a public-private endeavor, that has to have the county represented.
“For me, I am not at all convinced that we need an arena (or) that we can afford an arena," he added. "The least urgent question is where we would put it. Our interest in this site is using it for the highest and best use.”

I will say, they (Mayor Pureval and City Manager Sheryl Long) lay out their reasoning well. I might not fully agree with all of it but at least it’s transparent.
