According to a recent report by KCRA, a Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been arrested on charges of forcible rape and sodomy of an intoxicated person. This marks the second arrest of a county deputy within a week, sending shockwaves through the local law enforcement community.

The accused deputy, identified as Wes Montz, a resident of Rocklin, was taken into custody on Friday June 30, 2023, and is currently being held at South Placer Jail without bail, according to the sheriff’s office. The allegations against Montz came to light on March 14, prompting an immediate investigation by the sheriff’s office.
