    Funny that we wish we could fly, and all he wanted to do was ride in a car. Truly the grass is greener on the other side

      He adored the car and would sit on top of it and yell in the morning when it was time for my husband to drive me to work. You never realized that you could recognize a bird’s individual voice but you absolutely can.

    My friend raised a raven chick a few summers ago… I worked nearby and he’d come visit everyday. He stopped coming back home after about half a year.

    I still miss Merlin :(

      It was magic! He’s still around, not as tame but still yells in the neighbour’s window a few times each spring.

      They are parasitic in North America, having been imported here in a rather interesting circumstance, but they’re very sociable.
