Certainly interested how Halo is trying to redeem themselve after fucking it up hard.
This could have been a light rebirth event of the franchise for PC.It’s still not perfect, but the current state of the game is pretty good now I’d have been OK if the game launched like this.
I think the general consensus is that they’re trying to make Forge be able to continue the main content for the game and 343 will be focusing on the cosmetics and other stuff Forge cannot do, whilst their main focus is on the next game. Where hopefully they will take everything they learned from what they did right with this game and continue that but not repeat the same mistakes again they’ve made on previous games
343 gets browny points for promoting community members by using their forge creations and get recognition (and maybe merch?) and they can use their ressources for a better money stream to maybe support a light crew of devs for improvements (long term).
I guess we can call this a win win?
