This was one of the first emeralds I ever cut, and given the quality of the stone (not super fine), I’m pretty happy about how it turned out.

How long does this sort of work take?
A minimum of 4 hours for a single stone, but it can take as long as 8 hours depending on the cut, type and size of the stone.

Does your picker have a little light inside it, or is that just the way the light is reflecting because of the cut itself?
That’s just the way the light is reflecting within the stone. This particular emerald has a number of inclusions and internal fractures. As I said it isn’t the highest quality. 😀
