Will we be alive when they are done?
Boy am I glad I no longer drive that part of Mopac in rush hour. Hopefully this will make some of y’alls lives better.
I swear back in the 90’s they were working on the Ben White/I35 exchange, and my job moved me away. I came back a decade later and turned on the news to see them talking about the exact same construction project. It was hilarious because in the news story you only saw one guy standing there with a shovel. Ten years and it was like I hadn’t left. So yeah, maybe my grandkids will see this improvement. Now if they attach a toll to it, it will roll out within the week.
They didn’t add all the overpasses at once at that interchange, you probably just heard about two different overpasses being built
It’s supposed to be done in about 10 months, but there are different parts to the project that’ll be done at different times. It’s already pretty underway and really isn’t impacting traffic much. The most inconvenience is for people going from Bee Caves to southbound Mopac who have to go through the stoplight at 360 because the onramp is closed
