Sounds like a real burden on voters and has no justification and purpose. But what do I know, Oklahoma may be populated with hundreds of thousands of shady foreign agents trying to sway our elections via unbelievably massive acts of voter fraud.

It’s strange that they want to do this - OK had straight party voting (meaning you can check a box at the top that says “vote all Republican” or “vote all Democratic”. It’s exceedingly rare for anyone except a Republican to win. The two liberal cities, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, are districted such that the votes are dispersed amongst rural right wing voters. The only time we’ve had a Democrat governor was in the 90s when a 3rd party conservative split the Republican vote. Liberals have left the state, and only other Republicans seem to move here. No one makes any laws unless they’re in the GOP. There’s no danger of the Republican party ever losing a race.

Yet they still want to screw around with us. I swear, as a resident of Oklahoma, I will sue the state if they block my right to vote with this. My vote never matters, but I keep doing it. I’ll be damned if they stop me. The lines to get a RealID sucked, and I can’t imagine what it’ll be to show proof of birth. And I’m sure it’ll be at an office that’s open 9-5 that won’t take appointments. What a joke this state is.
