Got a 2002 SLK 200 Kompressor recently. My mechanic told me they start to rust in the catalogue. Well, he didn’t my. It is a bit of work (well, he is doing the work, I am just paying), but it will be a beautiful ride afterwards. The car will be rust free and sealed.

After that I am unsure to do. Should I get a LPG modification on it? I mean, it is „just“ a summer ride, but I use the convertible at every opportunity possible.

After this is decided, I plan to get a foil on it. Azure blue would be preferred, or do you have some ideas that could tickle my fancy?

Sweet, what are you working on?

1st, I work on the rust. There is a bit and it just needs to be handled if I want to drive it longer (I actually want it to bring it to Oldtimer status, which would be in 10 years).

3rd I consider LPG. Not sure, yet, what the implications on Oldtimer status would be or if it is a sound consideration at all.

4th is the foil for conservation and colour change. Probably dead azure blue metallic.

5th would be sound upgrade („just“ a subwoofer under the drivers seat, rest is done already)

6th is fixing the interior, like the slightly loose middle console and the dead power port.
