Yep. I mean I like Biden. Absolutely voting for him. He’s done some great shit. But…can we have somebody who there isn’t an extremely real chance they’re mental faculties will start start declining at any moment?

I’m tired of geriatrics running this fucking country.

I like to think of voting for Biden as voting for Harris with a slight delay.

Gotta find hope somewhere. Not that she’s good with her record of drug convictions, but at least she still has a meaningful stake in the world of the living, unlike Trump or Biden.

I like to think of it as a vote for literally anyone who isnt Trump.

I honestly find voting for Biden more palatable than voting for Harris.

Don’t see her a lot so I’m not up to date on her, but her bullshit platitudes over Israel were awful.

That’s the problem. She has failed just about every task iirc and worse, bitterly and loudly and PUBLICLY complaining that it was even assigned to her in the first place. She did remain in DC to be a tie-breaker but that’s a bare minimum. She’s not nothing but those aren’t typical qualifications for someone running to be the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world… i.e. she wanted to stand up and be counted but she seems to enjoy being asleep on the job.

She’s not Trump, and she’s not as old as Biden. And people in the center who might have voted either way are going to be asking themselves what she brings to the table, over Trump who is also very old and will also have his own VP. I’m not the best at understanding that mindset - I think it goes something vaguely like “ignoring everyone else bc they don’t matter at all, and also ignoring the future, and also ignoring most facts, what do I think will work out best, in the short-term, for ME?” And unfortunately a Biden+Harris minus Biden holds little appeal.

Meaning that some of those will vote Trump. Sorry, I’ve lost most of my own hope. But we’ll see what happens - there’s lots of time yet.

Unfortunately Democrats really lack any noteworthy candidates who meet that perfect harmony of experience meets youth this cycle and perhaps next. Warren teeters on being too old while the likes of AOC or Katie Porter just aren’t ready yet. MAYBE Whitmer?

Fuck it. Can we just get Jon Stewart in there, please?

After all, in this age of a circus, who better to lead but the jester?

I’d vote for AOC or Katie Porter without a 2nd thought if they were a choice. They are both smart, articulate, and genuinely want to help people. I also think they are smart enough to not want the job.

Too bad the party would never allow it.

All dead? Only one thing you can do–look through his voting base for loose demographics.

Fine, throw your vote away on some mostly alive 3rd party candidate. The adults will be voting mostly dead.

      Mostly Dead 2024!

The statement was in regards to common ground. My allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy! Theirs is to a failure and Fascist wanna be dic. Not remotely the same ground in any way form nor even tenuous concept.
