You all are very offended by the fact that Biden is not the president of Israel. Gonna have to accept at least that fact if real progress is to be made.

“The US president can influence Israel” probably true. But confusing that with “Biden controls Israel” makes ya look dumb.

In not one of these comments did i see anybody proposing direct action like donating to standing together ( https://www.standing-together.org/donatehere )

    Or boycott Israel: https://bdsmovement.net/

Nah. Why do that when blaming Biden is better for driving division.

What if for a minute the US said we aren’t going to send you $3 billion dollars unless you stop killing civilians. I bet you every single of those $3 billion that the killing would stop.

I’d bet my same imaginary 3 billion bucks that it wouldn’t work. Netanyahu needs a war to stay out of jail. He won’t give it up for money

He did, which is why there was one, and continues to do so. He isn’t doing it publicly to avoid backing Nyet N’ Yahoo! into a corner forcing him to reject it for political reasons.

The ICJ could have ordered a cease fire and did not. There is zero moral or legal reason for a ceasefire until Hamas is dead to the man. E: and every tunnel destroyed.

It would have been nice, but I don’t think felt they could have because Hamas wasn’t a signatory to the accords that bound Israel. They also didn’t for the Rohynga genocide either, so this is consistent with how they usually handle cases between state and non-state actors. That doesn’t Israel wasn’t doing a genocide, this will come out over time.

True that’s a good point, they did have some commentary on that subject with regard to Hamas’s hostages. Can’t call it an order to release them, as a non party, sort of a directive or firm suggestion.

With the Rohygna case, Myanmar was straight up strafing civilians with helicopters and burning whole villages to the ground, plus lynch mobs. Their claims of “valid military targets” by my memory were few and incredible, and no efforts to warn civilians.

I’m looking forward to reading Israeli’s 30-day status report.

What’s the alternative though? It’s not like the Republicans are fielding anyone who’d stop the genocide.

The alternative is no genocide. Should we just not ask biden to stop supporting (edited for typo) it bc it might mess up his numbers?

Why do y’all always use this argument? Are you seriously arguing that no one should ever criticize Biden for anything he does just because Republicans are worse?

They always try to divert to Republicans because they know that they can’t defend supporting genocide.

When did I ever say that?

The Democrats are campaigning on this argument though.

That’s Biden’s bet, that we would rather vote for his genocide than let Trump win. Blue No Matter Who means he can do anything he wants.

The alternative is to make America ungovernable until our demands are met.

Israel is the 51st state and they would have run out of bombs if Biden didn’t go around congress to give them more.

False: Israel is not the 51st state 🙃

Look, this easily falsifiable hyperbole feels nice. I get that. However, the statements are idiotic and make you look idiotic. They do not help and are likely counterproductive.

Okay, I’ll be less glib and just quote Biden: "If there weren’t an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.” Or how about US Secretary of State General Alexander Haig describing Israel as “the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk”?

It’s not literally the 51st state lol
