A second shot of a tree covered bike and pedestrian way along the Main Street on Mackinac Island.
That looks like a neat setup. Could you share your tools?
For sure. Here are the major components:
- Watercolor mini kit from Natsume Handmade
- Watercolor refills
- Mini Misters for spraying
- Water brushes
- Molotow Masking Pen
- Faber Castell Pens for inking
- Uni Posca white marker
I am new to all of this, so I usually sketch first with a pencil, then go over with a fine pen, then heavier pen. I hope this helps!
Thank you!
Holy cow, that’s so cute…
Well thanks! I love the little sketches.
If you’re the author, then full envy mode: on.
A question: have you ever considered painting on small, flat rocks and leaving such masterpieces in public places?
Yep - those are me. I don’t think I am necessarily good at it, but I think I am getting better. I more do it because these places mean something to me, and me sketching them kind of memorializes it - plus it keeps me super relaxed.
I haven’t no, but it’s a cool thought. I only travel with that small watercolor kit, so it won’t work on rocks, but I might do some digging.
Thanks for the kind note!
I know modern artists that could rival daVinci or Caravaggio, but it does not diminish the value of art like your own. It’s very heartwarming and I hope that you will produce more of it in years to come. Best of luck!
