I know that it didn’t actually flee and just drove off because it was following it’s programming, but damn, the mental image of this robot hitting a car and then going, “Oh, shit! I’m outta here,” is hilarious to me.
…I may be a little high.
Not sure about the ones in Helsinki but in a lot of places the food delivery robots of this type are actually still remotely piloted and someone is keeping an eye on them.
I’ll get fired. Zooms off
“I got kids to feed!”
According to the passer-by, who prefers not to be identified
[…]
Both doors of the car were scratched and the passer-by lifted the robot onto the roadway, where it fled the scene.
Not surprising the accomplice in this crime refused to give their name.
The robot was white, right? So it should have stayed. It had nothing to fear from the police.
Aren’t these drones the size of large breed dogs?
It probably didn’t want to get shot out of habit.
It’s good the little guy got away in time! Why tangle around with a much bigger foe?
They’ll probably realize the need to hunt in packs soon to bring down larger prey
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Become Ungovernable!
In a further development, the car that was hit arrived home to find a damaged robot trying to deliver his cold dinner order…
