I don’t think there was anybody in the news media who said, ‘Wait a second. I may not like this guy, but he has a right to interview anyone he wants, and we have a right to hear what Putin says.'”

While I would fucking love for Putin to even do an interview with an unbiased journalist that’s not afraid of falling out of a 14th story window, this is not what’s going to happen.
I doubt an interview will help. Any journalist doing that would be throwing their life away for nothing.
Putin gives interviews all the time, and he simply and plainly lies about reality. That is an essential part of Putin’s power - he is showing Russian people, constantly, that he can lie to their face without consequences. If a journalist confronted him with facts, he would simply deny them. If a journalist challenged him, he is very well-trained to not react in a way that exposes discomfort or legitimizes the response.

Fuck Tucker Carlson but also fuck non compete clauses, no one should care about them. I could be wrong, but I recall seeing something about them not even being enforceable anyways. A leaving worker can’t give up trade secrets or confidential information regardless of a non-compete, so the company already has protection for the stuff that’s justifiable.
