I’m really glad because I believe workers should be in unions as often as possible, but what is unfortunate is that workers in Stellantis in Detroit make around $18 an hour and workers at Volkswagen AG in Tennessee make around $22 an hour.
I’m not suggesting this means they don’t need a union, I’m suggesting that the union needs to fight even harder for better wages in Detroit.
To add, $18 and $22 ain’t shit nowadays. It might be survivable but it’s not liveable by any stretch especially if you have kids
Is (was?) Volkswagen against unions? I don’t think workers / the Betriebsrat at home would like that…
