All the while, you have enough self-awareness to scream “WHY AM I LIKE THIS?!”

Hmm I feel this way sometimes but never considered having ADHD. Are there mild versions of ADHD?

It could be time blindness and executive dysfunction not connected to ADHD. There isn’t really a mild version of ADHD, but some people get it worse than others. There are also subtypes, like hyperactive or inattentive, and each acts differently. You can always do an online screening to see if your symptoms are in the ballpark.

        That test seemed fine until…

What does my gender have to do with it?!

And can’t they just put the answer up? Not giving my email. Test results DENIED

Gender can affect how it presents. For example it seems easier to catch in males vs females. Females tend to be more often inattentive vs hyperactive, though personally I keep scoring combined type. It’s different from person to person. Most of these screenings ask for email. I’ve probably taken every screening test on the damned internet at this point and most ask for emails. Make a fake email if you have too. I have my spam emails for stuff like this so my main email doesn’t get bogged down.

This is so true for me. I’m trying to master it, but it’s a bitch of a road.

No need to master it. Just do what I do and plan nothing beforehand and fret until it’s actually time to get ready to go.

I had a conflict with work and needed to leave by 1PM to get home by 2, so I could be at the thing 10 minutes from my house at 2:30…

By the time I sat down at my desk, my brain wouldn’t let go of the fact that I needed to leave soon, so I shouldn’t get involved in anything that will take too long.

Also my brain: things that take too long means anything that will take more than 20 minutes.

… It’s 9AM. I have FOUR HOURS before I need to leave, but if a task will take a half hour, well, screw it, I gotta go soon 🤪 better put it off until tomorrow! 🤡

So true, I struggle with this a lot. I try to never plan anything around 11 am, because of this. At 9 am it feels like it’s 10:30 which means I am almost too late so I get paralyzed
