But, but, they supported that one bill…
Because it lacked provision to not allow manufacturers to bundle parts. So it still allowed Apple to charge and only provide other repair shops whole assemblies of parts, which defeats the whole purpose of repair. This bill includes that, and that’s the part Apple is angry about.
Which makes me suspicious of the other bill.
They’re right and fuck them.
This is unsurprising. Also, calling Tarah Weaver a cybersecurity expert is a bit rich.
