    They should be required to teach both sides. There should be required classes (no pun intended) that cover the benefits of socialism, unionization, the organized movement for workers’ and human rights, and the oppressions executed by the capitalist system.

    I mean, if we have to “teach the controversy” on evolution and climate change, I can only see the need for the same in other controversial areas like economics and racial oppression.

    Ok, I’ll bite. Why shouldn’t children learn about the dangers of communism?

    Are you arguing to give you complete control over all things and THIS time it won’t end up with millions dead?

      They already teach that. What I can recall from grade school was communism bad, capitalism good. U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

      And let’s not forget how we all learned that the Indians gave land to the Pilgrims and thought them to grow corn, or as the Indians called it, maize. Then they all sat down and had the first Thanksgiving feast!

      That is NOT how it happened. Public schools (aka government schools) have become propaganda factories.

      Not all aspects of communism are bad. We were just taught to believe they are. Just like we were never taught how some aspects of capitalism are bad.
