As a freelance journalist – or an office worker if you wish – I have always believed that I should regularly buy a new laptop. But older machines offer more quality for much less money.

    It’s like new vs. used cars. You’ll always get more bang for your buck buying used. Posting this on a 1st gen X1 Carbon that’s worth maybe $75 and it’s fine. Bonus points for Linux as it’ll require less resources.
