Four men climb on stage during Elvis Presley’s show in Las Vegas, supposedly to shake his hand. Fearing for his life, Elvis and bassist Jerry Scheff immobilize the men using karate moves. No charges are filed, but later Elvis tells the audience, “I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen. I’m sorry I didn’t break his goddamned neck, is what I’m sorry about.” After the attack, Elvis becomes convinced that his former karate instructor Mike Stone, the man now sleeping with his ex, Priscilla, is trying to have him killed.
Why wasn’t THIS in the movie?

That is a wild story.
I’ve never seen this picture before. I’m perplexed by the Korean flag on the wall when practicing a martial art that originates in Okinawa.
It still amazes me that there was a point in time that a grown man could take karate and not be ridiculed mercilessly
Edit: karate adults found me, unlike the respect of their parents
What’s ridiculous about that?
When I took kung-fu as a kid, all of the adults in the class were helpful in finding myself. All of them had some trait that was worthy of emulation.
How would that happen if it was all Lord of the Flies?
Maybe you are just young and do mot remeber a time before MMA was so huge, but even still I would rather have someone trained in any martial art over the proverbial untrained drunk in a parking lot.
