Guess they don’t want “improved collaboration and team spirit”. How strange.

    Yes this is sarcasm.

If the right handful of unfireable people ignore the mandate then it goes away. That’s what happened at my work and we’re all happier and more productive for it.

At mine we’re currently in the process of firing them lmao. Since we’re unionized it will take my employer over a year to fire us.

Turns out it’s difficult to fire unionized employees who have stellar year end reviews. They’ll still fire us but they’ll have wasted millions and millions of dollars to do it. And most of us will have better remote jobs by the end of it all.

Tell them if you have to go back to the office, you quit.

Nah, never say “or I’ll quit”, you just say you won’t go to an office. End of statement. You don’t make any sort of threat or give them an ultimatum, just set your boundaries. Make them fire you, if you’re valuable and/or well liked odd are they won’t and you just get to keep working remote.

Making these changes now puts us in the best position to deliver the next Grand Theft Auto at the level of quality and polish we know it requires

    May as well have said:

“We may have published a milestone in rebellious punk games, but we know that continuing to deliver on that promise requires a commitment by every staff member to our stuffy office policies.”

I look forward to delivering memos about TPS reports in the next GTA franchise entry. The game will be fine as long as they don’t touch my red swing line stapler.
