Is the source series complete? The problem with GoT was a combination of being bored and not having references beyond plot points so they just rushed from plot point to plot point at the end.
It is. A really enjoyable book trilogy.
I will never again watch anything by Benioff or Weiss…ever. How any network can ever trust these people again is astonishing after what they did to the ending of GoT.
I’m the exact opposite. GoT proved they are great at taking an existing story and adapting it to the screen. It also proved they can’t write a full story themselves with just an outline of main points.
The Three Body Problem is a completed story. They already proved they can take a well written complete story and adapt that.
I get what your saying, but it has nothing to do with them being unable to write a full story themselves. GRRM told them how it is supposed to finish, everyone told them it will take another two seasons, the Network was throwing money at them and begging them to do an additional season…but they rushed it…because they thought they were going to get to do Star Wars. They legit didn’t care about finishing it properly…because fucking Star Wars was more important to them, than finishing their 8 season epic.
What happens when they get to the final season and get distracted because some network announces they want to do a Mistborn 5 season epic?
So done with them…
I’m going to watch it because I love the book series, unit GoT it is finished. But I’m worried!
