I’ve got the Maxwell’s myself and they are fantastic.
I have SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X. They are pretty good, and they work with everything. PC, android, PlayStation, Switch. They are kind of my main headphones for everything right now (since I don’t actually have an Xbox yet).
Agreed here, they’re perfect for me as well.
I was using the SteelSeries before I upgraded to the Penrose then Maxwell. I love me so hifi audio, but I’m too broke for true audiophile headphones aha.
Even Maxell is not a true audiophile headphone? Where do they start from then?
Steelseries are my first “high-end” headphones, so I am really loving them. Hopefully I don’t lose my hearing by the time I am able to afford one of those audiophile headphones. 😀
I mispoke. They definitely are audiophile quality headphones, just not top of the line. I don’t think there are any true true ones built for gaming (as far as I know). That’s what Adueze is trying to do. And I think they’re doing a damn good job. Keeping in mind that up to a point sound is subjective to the listener, I’ve owned the Xbox Headset, Razor Black Shark, SteelSeries Artic 9x, Astro A50’s, and Turtle Beach stealth 700x and the Maxwell’s out preform all of them buy a longshot in my opinion!
Ah, makes sense.
So, what’s above Maxwell? Ones that work with consoles too?
The Maxwell’s are the ones designed with consoles in mind. A step above them would be the Sennheiser HD 660S2. I’ve had a chance to listen through these at the local hifi store and boy was it something. Wired though, which I try and avoid for gaming. They also like $900 lol
Ah. That’s… too much. I guess I still have Maxwell to aim for, so don’t have to worry about anything above that. Though with Steel Series, I don’t think there’s any need to upgrade anytime soon anyway.
Agreed SteelSeries is fantastic
The “best” headset is a $350 pair from a company I’ve never heard of and scored an 7/10?!?
Don’t use rtings much do you? A high seven is a darn good score from them.
Also Adueze is a well known audiophile brand, it’s just not one of the 3 or 4 “gaming” headset brands.
