Climate Change Committee finds Scottish government has repeatedly failed to make cuts required by law

Severin Carrell, so a tub of salt with this one. But fairly obvious to those of us who live here. Too many gas guzzling SUVs, not enough wind installing, solar not as prevalent as it should be, LEZs taking years to impliment, councils rolling back active travel plans, nuclear being decommissioned, and return to office

    Despite being from Sev he is quoting the report from the UK Climate Change Committee which is pretty scathing.

    Scot Gov declared “a climate emergency” but then did pretty much fuckall about it. A cynic might be inclined to believe the declaration was just an empty gesture.

      Yes, very little of his own agenda in this. ScotGov clearly failing here. Even if they blame covid, i don’t think we’re on a pathway to ever make those targets
