An initial version of the federal appropriations bill had $3.5 million for the project. U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Mount Washington, had requested funding through Congress’ community project appropriations and ended up getting $4.1 million in appropriations bills signed by President Joe Biden.

While this is great and I do like narrowing Central Parkway, it’s funny that once the new stadium went in we got this money so quickly and efficiently.
But as we discussed in the Oktoberfest thread, we still cannot get money to cap the freeway running through the heart of our downtown.
Do we just need to build yet another new stadium or have someone with connections get us the money for the caps?
