Of all of the issues in the NC school system, surely there are better things for the legislature to be trying to screw with than to worry about if the school library is stocking books that might make the kids think…deity forbid, we can’t have to much of that sort of thing.
I am just trying to imagine how that is going to go: “sorry Jake or Jill, you don’t get to check out books because your parents don’t think you should be reading unless it is from the approved list you have at home”. Talk about creating a legion of kids unable to think for themselves.
God damn is this kinda shit just so incredibly frustrating. I’m usually a very “talk and understand everyone” sort of person but like… Can the old assholes who get to make the rules just fuckin die already? These people are paid with my tax dollars and instead of being productive civil servants making the state a good place to live, this is what they do with the resources and platform afforded to them
