Fuck yea Baldurs gate in Lemmy. Really excited for this game. It will be the first BG for me and my gf but coming from Divinity we have high hopes.

A little disappointed, but honestly probably for the best. Now we’ll all just get to play the whole game at once. We’re already getting to play nearly a month early. I’m so excited!

With luck there’s at least a pre-load for us folks with less than ideal internet speeds.

That was the most exciting thing about the early release for me, plenty of time to ensure the game could download in time for the official release!

This would be great. GoG for me somehow slows down my entire internet connection at my house while also downloading at a max of .5 mb/s

We are still getting the game a month ahead of release so I am not stressing the 3 days.

The title’s somewhat misleading. 72 hour head start is still a thing; it’s just that PC gets a 816 hour early head start :P

Silly question and a little off-topic, but as someone who has never played a Baldur’s Gate, would I get on okay on PS5 with a controller, rather than using M+KB on my PC?

The developers played it with a controller in the stream panel from hell: release showcase. So it should be at least ok.

I’ll have to check if early access has controller support (haven’t tried yet). But if this is anything like D:OS or D:OS2 it will be fine. I actually got used to playing D:OS2 with a controller better than KB+M.

I’m about to finish Divinity 2 for the first time. I have so many hours but I never ended up finishing it. Can’t wait for BG3.
