Or, you know, we could force the gold-hoarding-dragon class, and the governments, to devote significant funding and policy to addressing this catastrophic problem. And those of us who have no money because the dragons keep price gouging us, can hold on to what little currency we have left.

That would only work if the governments are independent of the capitalists, but that isn’t the case, which is why waiting for either of those groups to act in favour of any interests that aren’t their own and in favour of their bottom line, is an exercise in futility.

Yeah that’s never not been the case. It’s been forty years of people obviously voting against their interests. Which has obviously been spreading around the world as propaganda machines have become so lightweight, portable, affordable, ubiquitous, and shiny.

Yeah if I give 1% of my income, good luck with that. But have you considered taking 99,999% of those who are rich (leaving them with still easily enough they’ll never have to work again), and getting actual amounts of money that way.

That’s great and all, but there’s a lot of things people can do that will help climate change and save them money.

…and it won’t matter a bit until we come together and topple the oil companies, the car companies, the pipeline companies, and the government that bends over backwards to support them.

These don’t need to be “toppled”. As the cost of renewable energy continues to drop, existing companies will be forced to adapt or die.

I cared so much that it solved the problem, said no one. Thoughts and prayers.

You’ve never cared about anything enough to drive you to action? Curious.

But in-line with the study findings, you think people do less than they actually do.

I drive a Civic and we give away all our cans and bottles to the local peeps that collect them for the $0.05. I stopped recycling because I know it’s completely bullshit.

Instead, we burn almost every scrap of paper and cardboard when we have a fire pit.

That’s it. Let the actual Corp/wealthy fuckers do something.
