It did take 100 years to go up, but it was about time someone put this historical marker up in my town. I was there for the ceremony. Unsurprisingly, there were a bunch of cops at the edge of the modest crowd looking intimidating.

More depressingly, it’s in the same park with another historical marker- that one saying it was the former site of an indigenous tribe’s village.
I love any reporting that calls out Lost Cause bullshit.
