OP is surely aware that Congress cannot raise the voting age. It would take another Constitutional amendment to overturn the XXVI.

In fact, all Congress can do is enforce it.

    Twenty-Sixth Amendment

    Section 1:

The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

    Section 2:

The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Dude, it’s an app. If losing access to it is equivalent to literally not being able to vote, you didn’t care that much to start with.

TikTok empowers young voters by enabling them to mobilize and coordinate their activism efforts.

Shame there’s no other way to possibly do that.

Not one nearly as popular, or that the government could possibly regulate as effectively, so a ban would be easier.

Set it to the current LD50 for dementia related ilnesses and it’ll even adjust with time to reflect the current standards of longevity.

To address the concerns of young voters, the government will either ban TikTok or raise the voting age, thereby diminishing the relevance of their issues.

Pretty much, the generation of old fucks that have a vice grip on both parties absolutely hate millennials and Gen Z, that’s why so many of them are demanding college administrators send police after campus protests and are threatening to withhold donations over them even though it should be totally obvious that doing so only makes the protests bigger, but there is a downright compulsive need to “put those damn kids in their place” among a lot of the 50+ year old crowd
