It’s great that they’re looking at foster care systemic inequity. With the pending increase of kids in foster care from abortion bans, they should also consider overhauling the entire system.

Our foster care system needs a major overhaul! The current system let’s religious fundamentalist foster or adopt knowing they have negative views towards LGBTQ+ people. Statistically that’s a huge fucking problem because you are knowingly putting thousands of children in abusive homes.

Our current system is essentially a foster care to prison pipeline. How exactly are they going to protect lgbtq kids? Send them to prison on a bus with rainbow colored seats?
