Adnan Al-Bursh, a renowned Gaza surgeon, was tortured to death in Israeli detention, a Palestinian prisoner association announced on Thursday.

His killing has been called a “deliberate assassination” after it was revealed he died on 19 April in Israel’s Ofer detention centre in the occupied West Bank. His body remains withheld by Israel.

Al-Bursh, who studied in the UK, was taken away by Israeli forces at Al-Amal Hospital in Gaza in December, while providing medical treatment to Palestinians injured in Israel’s indiscriminate assault on the besieged enclave.

Prior to his detention, Al-Bursh was renowned for traveling to various hospitals in Gaza to treat patients, even amidst heavy Israeli bombing.

Al-Bursh was also remembered for his efforts during the Great March of Return in 2018-19, when he performed over 28 surgeries in one day on Palestinians injured by Israeli fire.

2018? I thought this all started on October 7.

This just in: Israel hates doctors that help its victims too.

So I guess Israel hates the number 42 too.

How do they know that he was tortured to death if Israel hasn’t released the body or any information? There are a lot of claims being made in this article but I can’t find any sources to back them up.

He was in good health before israel kidnapped him, a doctor, from Gaza and killed him.

They also tortured him before. And possibly tortured him to death this time.

So it’s purely based on speculation.

No he has been killed in Israeli jail. This is confirmed. And he has been tortured so that too.

Maybe you can ask israel to release the body. Then we can check if has been tortured to death which he very likely has been

The only things that are confirmed are that he was in jail and that he is now deceased. The article makes a lot of assumptions on what exactly happened and presents them as facts.

Wait so the body hasn’t been released? How do we know he was tortured? I’m not saying he wasn’t, but what are the sources on this?

He was tortured before according to witnesses.

He is dead according to israel.

If israel wants to disprove this they can release the body of the person they killed.

I’m not saying that it’s not true. It’s very likely. But if evidence comes out that none of this is true it ends up giving points to the IDF and we don’t want to give more ammunition to Israel. We should be cautious about how we share information. That’s all.

This doctor was in good health when he was kidnapped. There are two options: he spontaneously suffered a heart attack or they tortured him to death. And as they refuse to release the body, you know how the saying about Jeffrey Epstein goes.

Or can you think of another reason why israel is holding his body hostage?
