The leaders of three large public school systems will appear before Congress on Wednesday to answer questions about how they have handled incidents of antisemitism on their school campuses.

The witnesses scheduled to testify before a House Education and Workforce subcommittee represent New York City Public Schools, the Berkeley Unified School District in California and the Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland.

The hearing comes amid a series of inquiries by the Republican-led committee into how universities have responded to pro-Palestinian student protests on campuses.

They’re just using antisemitism as a convenient excuse to regulate schools further. Dragging admins before Congress is not what Jews are asking for right now.

They “need” all the Jews in the world to move to Israel and the temple to be rebuilt for Jesus to return. They generally don’t talk about the whole ‘we must expel the Jews and force them all to go to Israel’ part, oddly enough.

Honestly that really is odd. Not like they stop themselves from talking about any other of their heinous shit. Political violence, forced birth of rape babies, purposely driving children to suicide, gay murder, etc. You’d think “forcing the Jews back to Israel” would just be another everyday discussion to them. Forcing the Mexicans back to Mexico is, why not the Jews? That sounds antisemitic (/s).

Well that’s different because they’re not criticizing Israel.

Hey House Republicans… where were you in the 1990s when a kid stole a book I was reading without me noticing, drew a swastika on every page and handed it back to me and then didn’t get in trouble for it?

Oh right, you didn’t have a genocide to support at the time.

At first I thought they were using Netanyahu’s definition of antisemitism, pointing it at pro-Palestinian students. This is legitimate antisemitism, and absolutely needs to be addressed.

In February, the Brandeis Center, a Jewish legal advocacy organization, filed a complaint with the department’s Office of Civil Rights, citing incidents of bullying and harassment of Jewish students in the Berkeley district, including one instance where the phrase “Kill Jews” was found written in a high school bathroom.

The problem is that the only reason they’re addressing it is because of Israel.

They were very tight-lipped about the bigots in Charlottesville chanting, “Jews will not replace us.”

And when this war is over, they’ll stop caring about antisemitism again.

      They are using Netanyahu’s definition.

The Louis D Brandeis Center was founded in 2012, by a former Bush administration official.

LDB was founded to conduct lawfare at the behest of the Israeli Government.

They’ve been trying for years to change the legal definition of anti-semitism to include anti-zionism.

They focus mainly on suing student groups that they feel are too critical of Israel.

Check out their wikipedia for their long history of trying to prevent free speech.

Writing “kill Jews” on a wall is antisemitism, just like writing “kill blacks” is racism, or “kill Muslims” is religious persecution. Netanyahu uses the term incorrectly to defend against criticism of Israel. Jews =/= Israel.

Antisemitism is prejudice against Jews. Prejudice against Israel is nationalism.
