I’m having a really hard time not making a dick joke.

Also, how hard did we low-ball them for? The lowest report we saw said 85+10, which surely can’t be as insulting as this tweet implies. That being said, I imagine the first bid will always get turned down, so I’m not mad. How long do we have to wait between bids so at to not seem overeager?

Realistically I don’t think they can. He’s made it extremely clear that he wants to move to a CL club. They risk getting nothing for him next summer. That being said, there’s so much hype around him that if for some ungodly reason, we passed on him, he’d be snapped up quickly.

The number I read was 70m + addons (don’t know if it was pound or euros)

Pounds would make more sense, since then I’ve seen reports of the opening bid being 80M + 10M. I’m guessing it eventually will get done at something like 90M + 8M.

This is gonna become a saga, isn’t it?

It shouldn’t. Bayern are the only other team linked to him and they won’t pay what West Ham are asking.

Also rice has hinted that he would prefer staying in england so even less incentive for bayern to enter a bidding war.

How else are we going to be entertained over the summer?

Interesting, back on that other place many thought £80m would be enough

I wouldn’t be surprised if WH were holding out an extra 5/10 million or a loan on top
