    Does this mean Andretti is actually happening? He must have more knowledge than most about the situation between F1 and Andretti…

      Still trying to force their way in, this is just another move. I’m guessing Pat Symonds was already on his way out at 70 yo, this way he gets a final consultancy contract doing minimal work, so win-win really.

    F1: Look, Andretti, it’s just… We don’t think you’re a serious enough candidate to join. Unless you pay extra of course.

    Andretti: Here’s a commitment from GM to join us and bring in substantial money to the sport.

    F1: Okay, but we’re worried that you don’t have the facilities or the staff.

    Andretti: Here’s our new facility in Silverstone, with another one to come - all fully staffed.
