Glad my taxes could fund the clown show. Just put our fucken boots on the ground if we care about humanity. Dare the IDF to reenact the USS Liberty.

Biden should be roasted harder over this. It’s a 300 Million dollar pier that never delivered aid and nearly immediately came apart. Such a stupid idea.

Seriously and they also spent months working on it that could have been used to actually deliver some aide.

The idea was that it would be harder for Israel to block aid too (ignoring that the US could force Israel’s hand if it wanted). Yet by the time they got the thing up for its entire week of operation, the IDF controlled the area where it was attached, and of course the IDF prevented aid deliveries.

in a major blow to the American-led effort to create a maritime corridor for humanitarian supplies into the war-torn enclave

in a major blow to the American-led effort to create a ridiculous PR exercise to smokescreen their complicity in the starvation of the genocide-torn occupied territory.

    Fixed it for them.

      That’s fucking sickening

The real story is why humanitarian aid is not being allowed by land. To me, this seems to violate my sense of fair play and lacks basic decency. And bombing civilian targets. The civilians are, on the majority, not responsible for the circumstances they now find themselves in and don’t deserve death. The pier is a decoy to move visibility away from two US presidents that won’t stop it.

That’s funny. That’s what happened to the piers in WWII. I guess they forgot that part?

We paid over $320m for this water bridge that is sensitive to ocean waves because our allies won’t let us ship stuff somewhere? Why are we sending these people money again? Is everyone dead fucking broke when they want to do military stuff? Ffs our military complex is a bad joke.

Oh no we’ve stalled so long that our distraction operation has been completed. But Netanyahoooo tells us that he wants to keep starving that Gazans. What do we do?

Just pretend it broke and say we can’t let in any aid.

Also reminder that the ICC did not just order israel to stop their attack on Rafah but also to let in all aid unhindered through the land crossings which israel is not doing.

All I see there is a pier still serving the purpose it was always meant to serve: supporting for the “we tried to help Palestinians” fable from the Biden Administration and other Zionist allies.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The temporary pier constructed by the US military to transport aid into Gaza broke apart and sustained damage in heavy seas on Tuesday in a major blow to the American-led effort to create a maritime corridor for humanitarian supplies into the war-torn enclave, the Pentagon said.

The pier will be removed from its location on the Gaza coast over the next 48 hours and taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where US Central Command will carry out repairs, Singh said.

Part of the pier, which consists of a narrow causeway to drive aid into Gaza and a wider parking area to drop off supplies transported by ship, disconnected on Sunday, the officials said.

The temporary pier, called the Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS), requires very good sea conditions to operate.

CNN reported previously that JLOTS can only be operated safely in a maximum of 3-foot waves and winds less than approximately 15 miles per hour.

The US has stressed that the temporary pier is only meant to augment humanitarian shipments going through the land crossings between Israel and Gaza.
