Great article. That’s the thing that people who dismiss Trump supporters as simply idiots or racists are missing - Trump took all those feelings of disenfranchisement and isolation and channeled them into a movement.
If only Washington spent more time, energy, and money on the real issues affecting quality of life in the US instead of funding military wars aboard and culture wars at home.
The poors fight the wars.
Trump isn’t the disease, he is a symptom. If he is removed from public life, his space will be filled by someone more charismatic and crazier.
