    Explanation: There is literary and archeological evidence for the existence of Celtic warriors who fought completely naked - including in Britain. Such incidents tend to be confined to small groups or tribes - most Britons would have fought in trousers and a tunic or cloak, and the nobility in chainmail or in bronze breastplates; but the armed nudity of a few warriors is attested to by Greek and Roman writers, by Roman depictions, and by Celtic art of the period.
