CBC here on the radio news had some streeters/sound bites from some Dutch people. One guy was basically “it’s because of the migrants [that he’s far right voting], and I don’t want any more green stuff”. The others echoed it. Of course, it was a story about the far right rise during EU elections, so those sentiments were highlighted, but still.

It’s sad we see this stuff in Canada, and The Netherlands, and everywhere else deciding they’d rather kill the species than be better.

They say migrants, but mean asylum seekers. While actively encouraging as much as possible foreign workers for e.g. ASML. Asylum seekers only make up a tiny portion of the migrants. Knowledge workers however, …

Far right thrives on stuff like this.

The far right has been ruling my country for 2 years now. Their campaigns have been specifically targeting Muslim migrants (even foreign workers, because they can marry locals, become citizens and generate offspring and other bullsh1t)… but looking at the facts and not the propaganda, this government has quietly more than doubled the number or yearly visas released for work reasons, just to say “look we cut irregular migration to a minimum”.

Makes sense. Highest voter turnout since 1989, voting for Europe and the Green Party/ D66 Liberal Democrats. Left party strong win - so of course non-Dutch media will say there’s a horse race.

    Pfft.
