A developer HAD plans for the building years ago, but I think when Covid gutted the office space market, that all fell apart.
I wonder what they’ll do now.
I can’t imagine the city actually wants it, they’ll probably find a developer interested in cleaning it up and re-developing, but after 8 years in this state, I don’t know if it’s salvagable. :(
The last developer noted some unique construction, so maybe that has value?
Can you even imagine a three story showroom of fireplaces? What a time that must have been to be alive. How far we have fallen.
The world pre Ikea, pre overstock.com had its perks.
So much more than fireplaces… lamps, furniture, grandfather clocks… it was a neat place.
